Twin Cam Carnage

Most of you guys know my Dad's Superglide experienced a major shitting of the bed just outside of Memphis on the Long Road. Check out a few pics of the damage.

Pic 1. The remnants of the inner cam chain, the front cam bearing, and the pinion gear
Pic 2. Yeah, the pinion gear actually cracked all the way through. First time I've seen that.
Pic 3. The inner cam chain tensioner. Best I can tell, this component failing is what started the whole party, but it was hard to tell for sure.

The whole engine is heading for tear down, but it doesn't matter too much. My Dad just bought a bagger!! Arggghh!!!

Now you done made Loc Dog mad!

For Dirty Ed. Frezno Smooth baby!!!

It's a ghost bike......

It's all coming back to me.........

A little over a month now of working on bikes full time again and I'm back in the groove. Things are going well at the shop overall, but disappointingly enough, the realm of Harley riders is still heavily populated with douchebags. After all the years of being around bikes, especially Harleys, I still don't have any real answer as to why they attract so many clowns. It's especially confusing because most of my good friends and a lot of the best people I know I've met through motorcycles. Weird.

I suppose it's simply that the bike world is a microcosm of our larger society: a small percentage of good people, often overshadowed by the ignorant masses.

A Smoke Out Interlude

I'll have some Bad Monkey related content soon, but here's a few more shots of the Earth's greatest chopper rally until then.

The Gathering of the Tribe

Smoke Out 11 has come and gone. A guaranteed great time year after year. Bikes, hot chicks, alcohol, and bad behavior. Most importantly, the quality people. And no, not 'quality' like people that go to church and listen to Rush Limbaugh. The quality kind of humans that know how to have real fun with no regrets. Here's a few pics of them.

And for the 100th time, if you claim to care anything about choppers but have never made it to at least one Smoke Out, you're just a fucking pussy and a poser. And save your lame ass excuses. I rode with a bunch of guys over 3000 miles to New Mexico and back, and even the shitty parts of the trip were great.
